Noah’s Flood, the Loony Tunes Version.
Okay, most of us know that while The Flood is one of the better known Biblical tall tales, it just didn’t happen and in any event the Biblical version is just pure plagiarism from the mythologies and folklore of other earlier cultures. That said, here’s Noah’s Flood, the Loony Tunes version, according to “Right Wing Watch” website headlines culled from their full-text stories.

Actually from my understanding as a geologist and anthropologist, you are somewhat incoreect. There is ample evidence for a worldwide flood. Granted it didn't occur anything like the story in the Bible.
Let me begin with the anthropolgical evidence for a worldwide flood incident. Worldwide there are multiple cultures that maintain a story in there mythologies and beliefs that make reference to a ", great flood" event. They are surprisingly similar in their description. Too many for accidental coincidence to explain.
Geologically, again there is evidence worldwide for a extendive flooding episode. Sediments lain down in an inundation depositional environment exist all around the world. In fact, using radiometric dating methods, it appears that they all date roughly to the same age.
Here is the logic. At the time of this prurported event, most civilizations were living adjacent continental coastlines, and along the base of major rivers. These environments were a good source of readily exploitable resources and able to support larger populations. Coincidently, these areas tend to be low lying in elevation, being on or near sea level. Around the time of the purported event, a major eustatic sea level changed. And it appears that this hapoened rather quickly.
Thus said, the major consequence was that the major low lying civilizations were flooded out and there cities were inundated and destroyed. Large bodies of people were forced to flee inland worldwide. Again, this resulted in a worldwide mythology of a great flood. Therefore, the mythologirs are subsequently based on a real event. As I ssid before. It did not happen as described in the Bible, and the continents were not totally inundated as suggested, just the continental coastlines, but the home of most civilizations of the time. Many mythologies are based on a peoples attempt to explain natural events that were beyond their worldview to make sense of at the time.
Your logic appears to be sound! I've seen a show about scientific explanations for the 10 plagues. It is interesting to me that once sound, provable, scientific explanations for such events become common knowledge, that religions don't just go out of style and existence. People tend to hold on to theirs beliefs that make them comfortable. The current Republican cult is evidence that that is true. The cult base will follow orangy right off a cliff! January is almost here!
@johnprytz global rises in oean levels (eustatic sea level) comes as result of polar and glacial melt as a result of a climatic warming trend. (Sound familiar). There is evidence for a global event, not made up. There is empirical evidence. Dont know about Japan and their mythologies and culture stories, cannot address.
@johnprytz All it would take is a 10-15 ft. rise in ocean levels to impact civilizations all around the world. Just look at 10 ft tsunami last week in western Java. With all due respect, you are so vested on the biblical description of events (which are irrelevant) that you can't understand the geological processes.Do some research on Euststic sea level changes. The rest of your rant was fairly incoherent. Sorry
I’d say look out for some guy in the desert building a massive boat. I’m sure there must be someone somewhere.
It is sad the number of people who believe this nonsense, which is scary as it manifests in ignorance and intolerance.
