Liberals are constantly having to check Trump's over reaching the power of his office. I don't think you definition fits all that well.

If hard working (so-called) "patriots" are violating the constitutional rights of others, the label of deplorable fits. It's not the "hard working" bit that upsets liberals, bu the lack of respect for others and the hubris of thinking it is OK to violate the rights of others claiming they are "patiots" just because they wave the flag.

@snytiger6 Not all constitutional patriots violate the rights of others, and when Hillary Clinton made that comment she didn't leave room for exceptions. When he was in office, Obama overreached his power too, sounds like politics as usual there, pick a side any side they're both corrupt...

I would be such an exception by the way. I come from a long line of Democrats, and sadly there are some bigots in my family, being a liberal Democrat doesn't shield one from forming biased opinions. On the flip side there, for as conservative as I can be at times, for as long as I can remember I've always been pro reproductive rights and pro gay rights. I think you are referring to the religious zealots there when you said about having a lack of respect for others, and as I've said before secular conservatives/libertarians are different than the religious conservatives are.
