I've been having incredible crazy pain in my hips (my right hip especially), and it's just getting worse. So I had some x-rays, and then went to see an orthopedic doctor. Turns out I have Bursitis.

I'm like, "Bursitis, isn't that an old person's disease?"

Then I saw my reflection on a mirrored surface... Oh, yah, right.

Oh no, you won't be able to dance the hula anymore! That would be my concern anyway.

Two years ago, I suddenly couldn't move my shoulder, I thought I must have dislocated it or something. Nope, it was bursitis. I was flabbergasted to have an "old person's disease" as you said. It went away.

Then I started having pain in my knee, thinking I must have torn my meniscus again, but nope, it was arthritis. Thankfully it went away too. Too much hula and not enough bike riding, I think. I've remedied that.

I'm all good now, but I'm sure there are more "old person" problems around the corner.

Same, All my life, despite everything. Sleeping on my back (because of surgery, originally) helped 100%!

What is Bursitis exactly?

A good question. I looked it up but I still don't really understand it. But I know one thing about it... it really hurts.

@ToolGuy Ok, thank you. Sounds like arthritis to me. What can be done about it?

@ToolGuy I have arthritis and I keep it in check by excertises/stretching and a remedy that I make up. I am happy to give it to you if you like.

@ToolGuy This is what I drink every day.

About a 1/4 of teaspoon of shaved fresh ginger.
-"- -"- -"- -"- of shaved fresh turmeric.
A splash of apple cider vinegar.
A large pinch of cinnamon.
Freshly ground pepper.
Half a teaspoon of honey
and water, in a small glass.

All of this is good for inflammation. I have found a great improvement in my joints and general well being. I keep the ginger and turmeric in the freezer and shave a bit of it with a knife every day. I hope you try it for at least two weeks and see how you go. Good luck.

@ToolGuy Apparently turmeric is especially good for inflammation.

@ToolGuy Hope it helps you.
