Does anyone else notice people creep your profile but never say "Hi"? And by creep I mean look at it over and over.
It's really too easy to creep. Mouse just passes over.
I really do not pay attention to that.
I have the app so I didnt think if that. Thank you!
I'm going to guess you are defining "creep" as the "hover" feature. If you use a computer (like I do) to navigate, by default as you mouse over a user, it brings up information. This was bringing up a half dozen users every minute so I turned that feature off a very long time ago.
Thank you! I only use the app so I was unaware of that feature. Could explain a lot!
It’s the internet and a public forum
It’s hardly creeping
Shit I check out dozens of people’s pages
Why would I say hi?
Well I have never gotten a reply whenever I said Hi so I stopped.
Well, Hi.
@Jama765 hello there
I had to turn off the hover option, so that I wasn't seeing everytime someone just passed over my avatar it showed them looking at my profile. My memory is not what it used to be, and I will use whatever easy crutches are available. I have a tendency to read too fast and I will go back later to make sure what I read is what I should have read. I don't know if that helps in your case since today was my first visit to your profile. I am more concerned about followers than I am visitors, but since I encourage people to follow 2 or 3 people to lead you through the site, I take that with a grain of salt.
And, too, after reading a number of posts, one ends to forget the uniqueness of each without going back time and time again because so many overlap in various ways.
Yes but it doesn’t really concern me. If I had illicit pics it would.. but that would explain the frequent visits. Other than that, I’m just not that fascinating.
Maybe more than you think you are.
A professional er nurse from canada, independant, strong , kind and interesting. You sell yourself short!
I don’t bother paying attention to that. I am glad each person doesn’t feel the need to contact me. I prefer only to hear from those that take a sincere interest in contacting me.
Very true. I am just curious if anyone else notices users looking at their profile multiple times.
@Jama765 Now it sounds as though your query is intended to take a poll, but, for what purpose?! LOL!
There, I just did it. Oh wait, I didn't. Oh well.
I agree with Lucy-Fehr a lot of it could just be accident, the profile menu is where my mouse naturally tends to go when I move it to one side, and the profiles that pop up can be annoying. At the same time I think that it is often a good idea to check the profile of a poster before commenting, as this helps you to understand the post better, and I wish that I was more disciplined and had the patience to do it more often.
Like I just did to you....no never noticed that ever! Sometimes I just like (or don't like) what the person has to say, or am interested in their pics, or curious about where they live. Doesn't always mean I want or feel the need to PM every person who's profile I look at.
Since their visits get counted, it seems that a wave is not needed. But I agree it would be proper to say hi.
I just figure if they are that interested to look at my profile over and over they might as well say hi.
Hell...I thought saying hi was my big taboo....I always msg my interest
I'm ok with the old guys not saying hi.
Anyway, hi!
The "old guys" on this site are some of the most interesting members here.
I find them FAR more interesting than a lot of the vapid, self-involved, others that have been popping up.
Lol coming from an old guy
@dokala I am unconcerned about how anyone feels about my "approach".
They can't handle being confronted about their bullshit. They have no use for the truth, and have no issue living their lives fact-free.
I happily call them on that. They like to accuse anyone who doesn't agree with them of being a liberal, or a democrat. I am neither. They resort to insults. They can't handle being challenged on anything. My approach is just fine. I'm not here to blindly go along with anyone.
I am unapologetically who I am.
