Nice, but wrong sort of trees for me.
That with a little stone cottage and a warm fire....
This looks a lot like the entrance to my parents ranch property when I was growing up.
Thank you for sharing. This truly triggered a lot of good memories. Nostalgia! ❤
@sweetcharlotte I try to take a walk at sunset when I can.
that is my safe/happy place.
@Varn I was lucky to grow up with a creek like this on my parents ranch. I miss everything about the rural and country life.
@SleeplessInTexas We’d escape the city to a cabin at the base of Mt. Hood in OR. I next inherited the family homestead, with creek! Now, I visit the base of the Blue Ridge; this photo’s from 8 miles away. Born a city boy, I came to know, love, and miss the deep woods.. too
@sweetcharlotte It's the bridge of the starship Enterprise, NCC-1701-D.
Looking at your picture, the first thing I think of is tranquility...and the second thing is that that looks like a place a serial killer might dump a body. Fifty or 60 feet off the trail, of course.
Ah, I see you've got a photo of one of my happy places. I have a whole catelogue of happy places in my brain. They're delightful.
For me it's being near the ocean and hearing the waves break on the shore.
