I like this guy. Also like George Galloway over in England. And, oh yes, Rush Limbaugh too is a favorite. Strange as it seems, among the herds these people can cause nose holding on both sides of the political spectrum, if not full blown triggering into angry stampedes.
It isn't nice to spook herds and can even be dangerous.
As bizarre as it might sound, especially to others who also like these and other dealers in ideas within their very different respective views, they are a budding duality of forces exerting influences that undermine the corporate, banking and military industrial cuckoo occupying our nest and gradually shoving us all out..
They despise each other at this point but I hope and expect soon that they'll realize their common enemy is more of a threat than pet ideological differences; which could be discussed, negotiated and settled as 'The People' AFTER getting rid of the establishment's literal 'death grip' on our government and means of mass communication. It is no accident that our 'betters' on both sides have us seeing each other as arch evil enemies.
Most of you probably know him but maybe not. He's a breath of fresh air on the Left.
Jimmy Dore - Enjoy
You lost me at Rush Limbaugh is a favorite. The divisive hate filled ignorance does not leave room for talking points. He does not debate or provide solutions to real problems just spews hate filled BS.
As with those with criticisms that 'don't match-up' of Galloway or Dore, you might want to listen first-hand. Temporarily remove one of the sides of your limited frame of reference and step out temporarily, for the sake of using that which is unnecessary within it. Believe it or not, contrary to what overseers claim, people who advocate different ways to tackle common problems or who see those problems from a different viewpoint are not so much your enemy as the ones herding both you and them around like their own political chattel.
Of course these people are and are correctly perceived to be 'opinionated'; and that by opposing (and here's the important part) and respective herds. The point is that they aren't in the least intimidated by so-called leaders; particularly leaders who busy themselves with the task of keeping the nerds separated before branding.
You don't like any of these people? I understand. I've been there and it can be scary; every bit as scary as it is for a Catholic or Muslim who is afraid to seriously consider anything outside their frame. Understanding might mean they'd be internally moved by a want to act and the consequences can be dire. I'd suggest, and maybe it would be a good post, an interview with Chris Hedges another (Lefty) with courage and a broad scope of understanding. He's not a comedian. Google him.
Dore does a great three part interview with him and the third segment touches on exactly what I'm talking about.
@Silver1wun So far I have not heard one viable option from Rush or hannity or anyone on fox. The left has not done much better as both sides are more into name calling and short on solutions. Nothing will change until the hateful speech stops. Since that sort of thing is the money maker for these people I have no use for them. The way to have a meaning dialog is by never using you statements. I only know my perspective and that is where I come from, when words and tone match I will listen.
This is so convoluted, I need further study! As for Limbaugh...no redeeming qualities as far as I am concerned! Not in this lifetime!
We agree on your sincerity and the first point in particular. Who cannot benefit from further study; especially of differing ideas? Nobody learns anything in a comfort zone where everyone agrees. Of course, as I'm sure you've also observed, learning has no place in frenzied political or theological juggernauts. They are all about 'teaching or else'.
Studing Limbaugh for 30 years, gives me enough insight on him, in this lifetime! He has contaminated our social order, in a destructive and vile way! I have learned that being exposed to evil people wounds the soul and uses up precious energy that could be used toward more useful endeavors! Dr Scott Peck, has said, that in order to study evil people (some people are operating in evil), you must put yourself in their mist, which endangers you and your reasoning! So I have been there, done that...enough to know, that he was not blowing smoke! Easy for you to stay in your ‘safety zone’ and call out instructions to the rest of us!
