First you must define what your definition of god truly is. Is it a being, a spirit, an ideological representation of your morals and way of thinking?
What purpose does your god serve or do you serve it?

But most importantly I’m curious as to just what is it about yourself that you feel that you’re lacking?

Most people and societies manifest beings of a higher power in order to fill in something that they’re not capable of fulfilling on their own ( like self control, a desire to be greater than they are or to replace a person who no longer exist )

Or they do so because they’re lost within their own environment ( like an imaginary friend for a child or an alternate personality who possesses a certain level of control or lack there of that a person can’t for some reason pull off independently)

Just saying that god for each and everyone is a personal question that can only be fulfilled by the one asking. Some find an answer and some don’t but anyone other than yourself can honestly do for is to suggest a path for you to consider.

I believe in some sort of higher power, but not a personal god.
