@ReadyforaChange It certainly don't bother you to be hostile. If you are happy as an Atheist, wonderful. If their belief system is different, why the hell do you feel a need to condemn others. You cannot prove there is no God and they can't prove there is. It is a stupid crass bigoted argument. i think atheists should create a place good and bad to go. i think many atheists are jealous because these people have a faith that goes beyond death and Atheists hate them for it. I am here because some question and comment was on my profile page. I came to answer.I say be what you want and respect others right to be what they want without bullying or spewing hate. @Varn There are those in every belief system. They are extremists. All humanity should not have to pay for the fucked up few. What I am, is my business. I owe no explanation to anyone. I am not an atheist. I am not into any dogmatic religion. I consider arguing about the subject an unnecessary battle. As I stated before, there is no proof on either side. Choosing to be what we want, is our constitutional right. They can't stop you in schools. We were given a moment of silence to practice what we wish. if someone tries to tell me what i should think or do, I walk away. I can't be forced to listen..

@AntaresRose Disproving a fictional tale is not the job of an atheist. Evidence to support one's assertions is the responsibility of those claiming a belief to be true, otherwise, it’s a lie. And there’s no reason to support, respect, or associate with liars.

In a Democracy, they also have ‘a say.’ When the party of religion presses an agenda, runs a candidate promoting that agenda, and those you’d not likely describe as “extremists” vote for said candidate … then that candidate ignores constitutional protections and packs the courts with those willing to do the same … what you may describe as a harmless segment of society collectively tramples the rights of those wishing to live free of their superstition/s.

Not everyone is as stubborn or willing to alienate themselves as you. My mother glowed when the Supreme Court announced the end of prayer in public schools! That would not have happened had not an ‘outspoken Atheist’ stood up for all our rights. Some are heroes, some are sheroes … and some are zeros. I stand to be counted in this ongoing culture war, that’s why I’m here.

Those incapable of getting along with others can sit with their fingers in their ears, look away to avoid the BS printed on our money, turn the channel, perhaps even vote for a free-thinking candidate … until they can’t..
