The biblical values of Democratic Socialism. Very interesting.

A believe that much of the appeal of socialism is due to the politics of envy. Some people would rather be poor if everyone else is poor, then be richer if other people are much richer. One person who understood that phenomenon well was the late great British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Here she is in her very last appearance in parliament before her retirement from politics:
Leaving aside the fact that multiple socialist governments have murdered millions of people, the only real economic choice is between free market capitalism and poverty. Governments can intervene a bit with taxation and redistribution of income, but without free market capitalism there will be very little wealth to redistribute.
Free market capitalism only exists in temporary transition to oligarchy run by monopolists. The only way to prevent this is through regulation of the markets, which is .....<gasp!> .... Socialism!!
AGREED. Norman and Cheryl here need to do a little more research. [ourworldindata.org]
Now don't you go make me become religious!
@SaucyCheryl you got that right. It would take Jesus appearing before me and performing some of his magic. Like make manna fall from the sky.
