If Donny dough nuts were reelected in 2020 by some crazy ass set of improbabilities , I would seriously think fast about leaving the country... I'm not saying he will, but if he were, what would you do? Move to a blue state? Another country? Go insane?
Hunker down ..even more. The bulk of those I’m surrounded by already apparently think it’s grand! Hell - they just re-elected him some help! Fucking idiots..
Actually, I’ve grown kids who’d likely leave. We’ve kin in Sweden, who think the world of mine.. And, they’re young enough to master the language - and bring some professional skills. I’m not ~
I predict he will win if he runs again. He will also try to find a law or change the law on how many terms a president can serve in office. He will try to go for a third term, but will not finish his 2nd term if reelected. Darwinism??
I also think that one of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's descendants will eventually see the White House.
Time will tell.
If I really had some serious money I would travel the world. I have friends in England Germany Australia Hong Kong and Sweden. Plus that would be enough time to take a world Cruise.
If I had no commitments or responsibilities, I might consider leaving to Europe for four years if I had the financial ability. Just to relieve the stress.
I would do the same thing I did when he won in 2016. Be disappointed in my country but still live here. If you didn't leave the US when he won in 2016, why leave if he wins in 2020?
Some countries might be better to live in, but remember there's much, much more countries in worse conditions!
Is it much better in other countries? Particularly for U.S. Citizens?

You do have some clout in local elections. If I'm going to vote, that's where I focus my attention. Voting for President means nothing on an individual level.
@Meili
Unless you're a member of the Electoral College.
@KevinAverett Yup. Which I'm not.
Then skip it. But STFU when it comes to those who actually care.
@Varn
Huh?
Perhaps you should actually READ before you reply. (Or educate yourself)
@KevinAverett You - “Voting is an exercise in futility.”
What did I miss ..beyond someone so overwhelmed by either the process or the results they claim to be above it due to their lack of participation..?
Education has led me to participation, not cowering with proclaimed wisdom.
@Varn
Maybe read the statement meme...or view the video. Or...you can just "shoot the messenger".
Next...please explain why YOU voted, and then tell ME that I DIDN'T.
@KevinAverett I’ve monitored polls in two states now, and have no fear what-so-ever that my vote was both registered and counted - period ‘Videos’ to the contrary are not what I consider ‘evidence’ or proof to the contrary.
If you voted, yet proclaim the effort is futile, or question why we should make the effort … why? As far as ‘who’ I voted for ..that’s easy - Democrats! But better yet - I helped recruit, support, and vote for my choices of them in our Primary election. They won! In the General ...not so well, though we had one major progressive upset I’m quite proud of - cuz I got to give the guy my support (and I’ve yet to ask for anything in return) - and with the help of his constituents - he took out a bad one!
Win some, lose some - but never give up the fight! And if you don’t think your vote is counted - follow it! We had good Dem in our Red county that, with along with other volunteers - followed the boxes from their precincts to the county seat. Where, (if registered in advance) we could witness the count - and follow the clerk as she posted the numbers.
I’m sure shit happens … but to make a blatant statement as you did, with the danger it effecting or infecting even one of us ..just couldn’t sit, with me.
@Varn
None sits well with me, either.
Having the time as parental caregiver to actually research was a bonus.
You started out by assuming that I wasn't politically active.
I have researched things that most haven't the time for.
I was a registered Democrat until the primaries.
I watched the live count numbers bounce (as the video explains).
So, friend...I feel absolutely no reason that I should "STFU", as you previously recommended.
@KevinAverett You sound disgruntled, I know the feeling. Guess we’ve two choices; take our ball and go home (as you read to have done), or step up to the plate again. Believe me, if I thought it an exercise in futility, I’d quite too. ...though hope I’d not have the audacity or arrogance to advise others do the same..
There’s only so much we can do, but when we’ve stopped doing even that, we’ll lose for sure. As mentioned, I had the recent satisfaction of watching a good one squeak to victory, as his opponent bowed out. Gave me hope on a larger scale. ‘STFU’ was my gut reaction … ‘keep it to yourself’ would be my updated version
