Can not Argue with You. I hate to say that Not Exterminating the confederacy may be the Undoing of the Country. Remind me of the French Revolution and years later offering Charles I's Son the Crown. The Greatest Sin of Civil War is Not Exterminating Your Enemy because is after all.... Your Own Family and Friends!!!
@GipsyOfNewSpain Since so much of the Civil War was about the continuation of cheap or free labor there was little interest in education and eliminating prejudice. Keeping the masses whipped up was/is too profitable. IMHO
IMO when they wrote in the declaration of Independence "All Men are Equal" they should have meant it. All slaves should have been immediately freed and made citizens. @GipsyOfNewSpain
