In the long run, none of this matters.
So we take this existence and give it our own meaning.
Yea, one week of rain is sucking all the joy outta me. Lol
@Bigwavedave In order to have the sunshine, you gotta have the rain.
Try to live in the moment.....take the best of what it gives you.
I need to take more instead of waiting . This weather and rain are screwing up my joy!
I see your point. Eventually we all die.
& eventually our species dies, the earth dies, & finally the universe dies...no wonder I'm depressed.
@Carin Nothing to be depressed about if it's not actionable. All of that stuff is way outside our scope, billions of years in the future, and none of that is 100% certain yet anyway. Talk about borrowing trouble!
I find my mortality comforting, it keeps my life manageable. I don't have any great desire to live to be 90. If I could do it without health or financial or general quality-of-life concerns, that might be fine and dandy, but I can't, so I don't try to make life something that it's not, and then refuse to enjoy what I DO have. My wife and I intend to live life to the fullest in the next decade, which is quite possibly the last decent one we'll have, and then we'll go out on our own terms when we decide to.
@Carin see!!
So now matters.
I am sure today matters.@Wildflower
