Does not look like a family vehicle.

@Marine -- It's not, and it is not intended to be one. The intent is clearly spelled out in the video, but in case you missed it, he made the observation that when watching traffic around town (any town) on sees full-size vehicles being driven by one person going to the post office to pick up or drop off, running to the store for a gallon of milk, etc. All of that, which makes up a large portion of national vehicle usage and accompanying CO2 emissions from private vehicles, could be mitigated/eliminated through the use of specific purpose electric vehicles. That would be no small impact. Also, the manufacture of such vehicles is low carbon footprint as well. Win -- win.

@evidentialist I could not access video or links for some reason. Thanks

@evidentialist doubt it would fit a container of milk....

@AnneWimsey -- It can tow a trailer for a capacity of 250 lbs, plus loading the back seat with an additional 300 lbs. That's a lot of milk.

I would not be interested in using this vehicle. No doors mean a drafty and cold or hot ride depending on temperature outside. Also no way to leave items in vehicle.

@Earthling50 -- Nor did anyone suggest you should or would, however the idea is what is important and there is a huge array of this type sporting a variety of amenities to suit a wide range of tastes and sensitivities. Where I wouldn't hesitate to use the Arcimoto, many others would. Perhaps one of these would interest you more. Any one of them would be a step in the right direction -- admittedly, some of them get a little pricey, but for those of us who have more in the way of discretionary funds, even they would help.

@evidentialist I love the idea of an electric car and I'm glad the industry is heading that way. A few years ago I got to drive a Tesla and was so impressed how big and heavy and fast it was. Ofcourse the price tag was over the top but what a car! I'm hoping something along the line of a KIA will be made that is electric; I like being in a vehicle where I sit higher up.
