Question for you all. If you had money and no one to will it to, how would you bequeath it.
My beneficiaries are stated in my Will. The Will merely directs the executor to where the beneficiaries are. All of it goes to wildlife preservation groups, no kill local animal rescue, & human population control. I may add the ACLU.
I was all for no kill animal shelters until our shelter became one. Now there is no room for more animals to be taken in. There are cats and dogs being dumped in the woods or neighborhoods. Feral strays are taking over. Having multiple litters with no vet care or food. A tiny litter of kittens were dumped near here last week. One beautiful solid black one went under the neighbors car. Cried for two days and nights. Heat index was 106. It got stuck in the frame of the car and was killed. There is no help to be had. Animal control won't even respond because there is no where to put them.
I have concluded there is a place for humane euthanasia
@freeofgod I am always sad to hear such stories. We must do what we can while we are alive on this Earth. Be the solution. Do what you can when you can. Of course it takes money, dedication, endurance, opportunity. Spay/neuter. Adopt. Volunteer. Donate. Educate. There is always some little thing we can do to make a difference.
I would divide it up with half going to animal rescue groups earmarked for medical interventions and the other half to Planned Parenthood.
Help soldiers that are homeless, can't afford medical, or are suicidal. Also help people that are working strugling with poverty.
Terms and conditions apply. It would only be availabe to people that actually need it.

I’m on the ‘die broke’ plan, and so far it’s going well. I’m already broke NOW.
But, should I win the lottery: Hospice, Humane Society. Habitat for Humanity.
I would probably establish a foundation or scholarship for women. Maybe give to help develop a program for homeless.
