What do you think will happen if Trump won't leave the WH when he loses in 2020?
What shocks me is how quickly a power crazed mysognistic racist has become normal. Prior to the election I said to my colleagues that I trusted the basic decent pragmatism of most Americans. I am really struggling to understand outrage after outrage appears unremarkable now. So I would suggest nothing can be predicted.
He may look for ways to stay but ultimately he will leave because I don't think he could get the military on board.
He will state that he wanted to lose the election and his base will believe him. If he said he shat vanilla ice cream, they'd line up with bowls
Once he's no longer President, he's no longer President whether or not he acknowledges this fact.
If he manages to create a popular perception that the election is a sham, such that he gets the military to keep him in power via some sort of coup, then I guess there are far-fetched scenarios like that. But even Trump can only bullshit his way so far. His support among Republican legislators is eroding, and the drumbeat of damning revelations has only begun. His wall isn't being built, his love affair with Kim Jong Il is on the rocks, the lynchpin of his Middle East peace "strategy", Netenyahu, has just been indicted for corruption, etc.
I don't know if the Democrats have the balls to impeach him or if they can get conviction in the Senate, but there's at least an even chance of it at this point, and I'd say less than a 20% chance that Trump manages to get re-elected.
What makes you think he will be in the White House by the end of Summer?
