I lived in Western Washington 1993 to 1999. Winter of 1999 we had over 140 days of cloud cover and over 99 days of rain. It was damp and crazy, and dreary.

@HippieChick58 ...climate change...we had a major snow event a few weeks ago, haven't seen as much snow in 20 years...but the rest of winter this year has been unusually pleasant, daily sun, rain rare, highs in the upper-40's low 50's...

@seattlepanda 1995 to 1999 I lived in the Gold Creek neighborhood just past Mill Creek on the way to Snohomish, south of Everett. One year we had rain, ice, snow, ice rain, and repeat. I remember walking on top of the snow in my yard. It didn't last long, but it was inconvenient while it was there. I also remember not having AC in my house, we really didn't need it. Sometimes I wish I still lived there.

@HippieChick58 yes...those are time-frames I recall we had extreme winters...I was in Issaquah...

If you had this much snow and more was coming down, you'd holler anything at anyone.

@HippieChick58 Come to sunny Scotland then. We had temps of 18C last week and the skiers are not happy bunnies.

@Moravian Our high temperature today is -10C. I could deal well with 18C. Sadly my passport has expired.

I already have about 10 inches of accumulation that did not get cleared off my driveway from the last storm. I start a new job on Monday, it is really important that I am able to get out of my driveway. I'm not stressing at all!!!

@Charlene I actually don't know many of my neighbors. One of the neighbor kids did shovel my driveway once, and I paid him and his buddy quite well. However, they haven't come around again. I could call my son in law and ask him to bring over his snowblower. He lives about 6 miles away. He would do that, he's a really good guy.
