The pendulum does not fall as you describe! If you break-out the facts for both parties...you will not find that the Democrats are rebel rousers and at least they can break a problem down and put humanity first! The Democrats and Republicans are not equal!! Not if you have been keeping abreast of information!

That makes good sense. Otherwise we are just being crammed full of information depending on where we get our news and information! Since I cut off my tv, and read all my news, except YouTube pieces, I feel much more in charge of my emotions, concerning the news. When I must incorporate the emotions of the person reporting on something...I am stretched past my limit!

What is being passed as political news today is realy propaganda.

It does NOT make good sense at all! That is the thin end of the wedge. This is a complete totalitarian take over! Liable and slander laws should be enforced! People can consider the source ( as they do) but if you are suggesting the jailing of people for saying things others dispute you are VERY dangerous! This is a 100% dumb headed idea!

@dare2dream It IS good sense but this is something provided by the private sector. As internet takes over more attention, cable news is becoming ridiculously biased (on both sides) in a desperate effort to get people to condemn cable alternatives. There is grave danger to the first amendment if people want to start prosecuting others for opinions. A news organization cat cut its; own throat by ending up wrong about things. We already have slander and liable laws, which do make sense. The urge to muzzle others is wrong headed! People can say what they think about facts and their opinions. For example I am pro-choice but I am very against the New York decision which literally legalized murder,
It is not in the best onterest of dialogue to shut anyone up ESPECIALLY if they represent things that are disagreeable. Ideas do not dissappear because the gulag does not like them! www.lp.org

We hope...but, observing some of family and friends...their brain functioning is not going to be easily fixed! That is not something that can get fixed over night!

You don't need to try to "stamp out" anything! Just don't watch it. If you really have more time and energy watch it, make notes, do research, and then combat it point by point. realize that I have been doing that a long time and it is an unending, unfinishable, and thankless task. I never like to have discourse with parrots (from any party) I like Ted Talk style discussion where someone who has real insight and thinks for themself has something to say. "Stamping out FOX TV" is just crowd speak for "Hey I am willing to say outrageous things to ID myself and validate others so they will like me!"

FOX is biased, but if everyone knows it how can it be accused of nefarious influence? The people drawn to it WANT a more conservative perspective. When liberals call for censorship (1st amendment) they will not stop with the 1st amendment. They seem to think that ANYTHING in service of their agenda (NONE of them define what it is) comes under the heading that "the ends justifies the means"

@JOHNGALT non of them just give the details and let it go...they must elaborate with their personalities thrown in...so what news they do deliver...must be processed through their emotions and then my own! That is why I read almost all my news, except excerpts on you-tube! I think better that way!

@Freedompath, @Redheadedgammy conservatives, like "liberals" are totally tribal and almost everyone on both sides is much more interested in the siccess of their team, and failure of the opposite team then focus on little else. All their time and effort is spent on tense vitriol and they see each other like the red team and the blue team. Anything and everything the otherside says is wrong, and everything your side says is right. almost 100% on both sides profess to agree with almost 100% of that party platform. AND most people are ready to argue about political things and have very strong opnions they refuse to be shaken from without sufficient knowledge to even really know what is going on.
