The great Hal Blaine, session drummer extraordinaire, died today at the age of 90. A core part of the LA studio musicians called "The Wrecking Crew," Blaine's uncredited drumming can be heard on one classic hit after another... he participated in 35,000 sessions and 6,000 singles!

I just saw a special on the wrecking crew a few years back, amazing group of musicians.
