If it were legal, do you think it would be possible to love and be married to 1 0r 2 women or 1 0r 2 men and still be happy? Depending if you were a man or a woman, and not gay.
I have friends who are in polyamorous relationships and claim to be happy. It's not for me. I don't deserve to have to share a husband's love and attention with any other wives, and I can't imagine why any woman in her right mind would want more than one husband.
I was a product of the Hippie revolution, and at that time their was a lot of love going around. I was in my 20's and i cared about 2 special ladies, a friend of mine felt the same way about these ladies, there was no jealousy just lots of love, when i had one he had the other and visa versa. It was quite wonderful, lots of good memories, but eventually times were changing and we all went our separate ways, but in my heart, i loved them both, and if possible could of let it go on forever, but as we grow older our values change, and then their is the situation with raising a family. We even went as far as all of us showering together and making love on our gigantic water bed.
One of my friends is in a very long-term poly marriage, even though it's not recognized as such, and she's very very happy, in fact all three of them are (her 2 men and she). Knowing her, if I lived closer, hell, I might volunteer to be number 4 but I don't know if I could handle the competition.
It seems like maybe the division of time and chores might be easier with 3 people in a relationship, just so long as you had people who aren't burdened with jealousy.
I prefer to focus on one man at a time.
In my 20s, I had two lovers. It was crazy-making for all involved. The men were jealous of each other. Both wanted more of my time.
I can understand that
