A couple of believers have lately joined and ask questions like “Why don’t people believe in God?” I wonder about their motives.
I don’t mind a honest debate but when they post and never follow up you have wonder if they are trying to manipulate the point system.
A lot of Evangelical Fundamentalist American Taliban are not honest.
I have, here and on other sites, seen believers who are simply curious and who ask questions, but very often they don't stay around for an actual conversation because they quickly realize they're in over their heads. Also, their from-the-cradle conditioning that thinking is bad for faith kicks in.
They come, I think, fully expecting a bunch of unthinking, arrogant fools and find instead people who have examined the claims of their faith, often in some considerable depth, and have dismissed them as the unfounded and irrelevant self-referential nonsense that it is. These are thoughts they don't care to think.
I see the guy’s post was taken down.
Was it just me or did his English seem foreign, as though he is not who he says?
We have had a few believers come in here and raise havoc. Let Admn know and they will remove them.
