Either she is incredibly stupid, or incredibly evil. If by "abort" she means she would kill her child if it came out to her, then I lean towards evil. Which would also be arrogant as calling infanticide "aborting" is suggesting she has the parental right to do so -- like you would if you stoned a disobedient child perhaps.

Of course this may be in her mind an empty threat because to her likely sexual orientation is chosen and she would no more let her child choose that than to choose to take drugs or steal things.

It's easy to dehumanize these people as mindless knuckle-draggers but the truth is they are uneducated, ignorant victims of an oppressive ideology who are kept in line by the notion they are persecuted for their right-ness (righteousness) which gives them a faux shared "experience" to bond over.
