Had a wonderful morning today.
On my way to an appointment with my G.P. I get accosted by a couple of Faithfools wanting to tell everyone about 'Bible Truths.'
I had plenty of time to spare before my appointment so I kindly listened to their spiel and then began to ask everyone questions or did anyone have an questions to ask.
I asked where exactly did they find these 'truths' and to what Educational Standard/Level they were educated in Theology.
They proceeded to ummm and ahhh amongst themselves so I mentioned that I HAVE a ThD ( Doctorate in Theology and Comparative Modern Religions), their jaws dropped, their eyes widened and their hands began to very visibly tremble.
One actually 'plucked up' the courage to ask me if was an Ordained Minister/Preacher, etc.
The look on their faces was Absolutely Priceless when I calmly announced that I am an Atheist, have been an Atheist since childhood, always WILL remain a Proud Atheist and that studying Theology only served to verify and validate my Atheism.
I then calmly walked away to my appointment and 30 minutes later, after the appointment, I walked past where they were and voila, no Faithfools, no Placards, absolutely NOTHING to show that they were once there EXCEPT a rubbish bin completely filled with discarded copies of their pamphlets, etc, mostly ALL screwed up.
Some days it REALLY does pay to get out and going and do the Grocery Shopping, etc.
