The way to empower women is not to disempower men. It's to open women's eyes to their own power.
I'm currently participating in "Lean In" groups at work and am getting a simple view of what it does take. For some its just encouragement as with anyother person. I've known more in my lifetime that it took a lot more because of engrained beliefs, male egos, and many other things.
I agree with the comment below accredited to Marilyn Monroe from @THHA ; because women are capable of so much more and until more are willing to strive and we are all on truely level fields, or as close as practical for human beings, the world will only be half of what it could be.
Unfortunately the myth that feminists are out to disempower men has largely been spread by christian men who believe that it is god's will for men to rule over 'their' women
Exactly what @novelty said... Men are scared of powerful women... Just look how they speak about AOC... They act like scared little boys....
ACO is a vapid little know nothing!! I love strong women !! Start with Ayn Rand!!
You're hanging out with the wrong kind of men.
@webbew1 I'm talking about some of the men I talk to here on agnostic I don't know anyone like that personally...
@BigMac10 ACO? Who's that? Lmao google AOC's education... She's very intelligent... Top of her class!
Actually, both Ayn Rand and AOC are excellent examples of strong women. I may not agree with Ayn Rand's politics and she's a pretty mediocre writer, but I do admire her resolve.
