Holy crap! There are so many liberals on this site!
I view it as most people who are atheists/agnostics tend to want facts backed up by evidence (preferably scientific evidence), and liberals tend to base policies on facts backed up with evidence. Conservatives on the other hand tend to look backwards and do things a bit backwards. Rather than finding otu the facts and basing policy based on facts, they create policy and then go looking to cherry pick facts to back up the policies they want to implement.
This only describe liberals and conservatives as defined in American politics. In Europe the definitions for those terms are different and mean different things.
So, anyway, if there seems to be a lot of "liberals" on the site it is because most atheists and agnostics came to their beliefs in the same wy that liberals came to their beliefs. Facts backed up by data.
I'm conservative. I was born an atheist and was never religious. I don't ever look backward, like Andrew Yang says: never backwards, never sideways, always forward. Science is my religion. I've voted for every atheist who has run for president since I turned 18.
@celticagent I was born and raised in a very religious and conservative family. The three out six kids who left my parents religion, all did so because data and facts did nto match uip with religious beliefs. So, I am speaking out of observation of my own family and other atheists i have met who also left religion. My observations tende to be generally true. As with all generalities there are always exceptions.
What's a liberal ?
For boomers, think "hippie", or "dead head". For zoomers, think "SJW" (although zoomers are probably too young for a dating website)
@Bobby9 Seriously.?.I think you should do some research into the meaning different political labels. Hard left would mean communism or at least socialism. here is a start

@Bobby9 Sure it has many meanings as have many words in the English language but politically I would say liberals are progressive, believe in democracy and civil liberties, Freedom of the individual and law and order. They espouse capitalism but probably not globalism. secularism and gender equality and racial equality. Others may add or remove some things but I think the main things are there.
I don't particularly like labels but if I had to I would call myself a liberal socialist.
