Pope = Protector of Paedophile Employees.
Pedophile did you mean??
@of-the-mountain No, it IS actually spelled PAEDOPHILE since Pedophile literally means someone with a Foot fetish, i.e. Ped- meaning Foot whereas Paed- means child, etc.
@Triphid, @of-the-mountain UK, Australia, Canada and several other countries use “ae”instead of just an “e”following a “p” in words like paediatric.
For the record, podophobia is the fear of feet. Pedophile is the American spelling of Paedophile.
@Green_eyes Ah yes, American 'English,' BUT the term PED, meaning foot, comes from the LATIN meaning foot, .i.e. bi-pedal (two footed as we are), quadrupedal - having FOUR feet or paws, hoofs, etc.
'Pod' meaning foot, etc, is derive from the Greek BUT no-one gets a 'podicure' at a Beauty Salon, do they, they get a PEDicure, don't they?
The pedantry of Americanism, jingoism at its very best imho.
@Triphid there’s some of these little idiosyncrasies I’ve had to learn being a Canadian living in America. My biggest peeve was that they don’t use the metric system. I can’t have it all. I have bigger things to whine about these days.
@Green_eyes Yes I agree BUT American 'english' as opposed to actual English spelling is quite confusing and troublesome to those who have English as a second language, etc.
And every time I type something into my computer, even though I was born to parents whose ancestors were of English Descent, I get the word underlined because Microsoft Windows is 100% American English based and biased.
@Triphid absolutely, I have two keyboards on my phone. One Canadian English and the other American. I need to switch it up when texting my family.
You make some great points. My son was doing a project on his Surface Pro for school for Spanish and it was awkward with the accents. On my apple products, it’s so easy.
Doctors don't cure you either .
@Cast1es
No one said they did!
If that were true then we would not have so many sick people wandering around!
Doctors are a business for the most part they never cure, just band aid the situation for max profit!
Yes! There are a few doctors who believe in what they do, a few!
@of-the-mountain Then would I be correct in assuming that you've had little do with Oncologists working in Hospitals dealing with Children suffering from Cancers, etc?
I spent many years working with Doctors in ALL forms and Fields of Medicine in Hospitals and out of them, and over 90%, imho, work bloody hard to help heal and cure their patients BUT there are those who, and I could name ONE in particular off-hand though who is definitely only in the job for the money but he is a G.P. btw.
@Triphid
Just how many of these suffering children were actually cured with no relapses?
The cost associated with this is hardy affordable by most in our society!
By the way I have watch my share who were given hope and then relapse into a slow painful death!
Do you live in an alternate reality compared to the rest of us!
