I'm stuck home recovering these days. Two weeks ago, I got hit by a car while I was riding my bicycle to work. Good thing I had my helmet on. Surprisingly, no broken bones. Just a sprain in the back of my neck. It gives me some stiffness in my back and on my right shoulder. I'm unable to sleep in my bed so far so I must settle for a recliner. I'll need a few more weeks to recover. Rest, heat, medicine and physiotherapy.

How’s it going? I hope you’re doing great. I also hope you’ve managed to recover successfully. Actually, physiotherapy is a very effective way to recover. Keep us updated!

Hello there, QuidamOutrepont. I got into a car accident about 5 months ago, and I've just recovered. Actually, it was a long journey. I have no idea what I would do without the physiotherapy near me. So, I hope you've already recovered too, buddy. Tbh, I didn't know that physiotherapy could be so effective. I mean, I used to think that physiotherapists worked with athletes only. I'm so glad they've helped me recover, guys. Anyway, I'll be waiting for your reply. Hope you're doing great!!

@AngieSpence I fully recovered three months later. Thanks for asking.

I feel your pain. Last Aug my front tire blew on a downhill run and I went flying. Same as you, no bones broken (except a fractured hand and dislocated fingers). I was a mess with lots of abrasions and stitches in my face and hands. All have cleared up but still doing hand physiotherepy. Also, wearing my helmet (and luckily not my glasses) which helped a lot. I think we both were very lucky.

I've had two of these and a couple near misses. People, mostly men, are so impatient, and how dare cyclists slow down their day. The result, permanent partial disability of numbness and paresthesias 24/7 in the left arm. Broken pelvis in three places, knocked unconscious;broken helmet. Last one resulted in broken hip necessitating a full hip replacement 6 months ago. Still not 100%. That guy never stopped.
Cyclists beware.

Aoutch! Me too, I was knocked unconscious and got my helmet broken. But the driver who hit me stayed on the spot.

@QuidamOutrepont So sorry to hear it! So glad you were wearing your helmet. I am convinced that mine prevented permanent brain injury. Apparently I made the paramedics put my bike in the ambulance (although I don't remember it.)

Sorry to hear it!

You have my sympathy. Glad you were not killed.

Sending you mental rainbows of healing and recovery.
