There have so far been 971 cases of measles in America, mostly in New York.
Have fun with that information.
I live there. But my parents loved me and got me all my vaccinations, so I’m good.
you know New York borders Canada right?
It should be illegal to refuse vaccinations for anyone without a medically valid reason. No one should be allowed to deliberately endanger the public because of their ignorant belief system. Not when centuries of hard science have demonstrated the effectiveness of vaccinations.
@Antidronefreeman Not sure I understand what you are trying to say. Do you think people should be allowed to endanger the general public because they refuse to believe the overwhelming scientific evidence that supports vaccinations as a means of controlling preventable diseases? How is keeping the public safe from preventable disease similar in any way to what the Nazis did? I'm completely lost.
@Antidronefreeman I have no idea where to even begin with your level of ignorance. Ever had a science class? Do you understand how communicable disease works? Ever read much medical history? Ever read the U.S. Constitution? What part of it, specifically, would be violated by requiring people to quit endangering public health?
You may not be the stupidest person alive, but you better hope they don't die.
This is not surprising since most of the cases are with the Hasidic Jews and the largest populations are located in NY, specifically in Rockland country...
It was brought in by an outsider, which I can't seem to find any information on whether he/she was Hasidic as well...
I imagine if someone with measles exposed our Amish community here in PA or OH, the results would be the same...
Religion should not be used as an excuse to not protect the public...all we can do is make sure our kids are vaccinated...
