My fellow American atheists, how do you see Europe ?
I walked "The Way" 5 weeks in northern Spain. Spain is a very religious country. I met some of the nicest people I have ever met. Which really doesnt mean anything but only my experience. Would go back in a minute. Personally, I feel Americans are still in infancy while most of Europe has matured.
The best way to see Europe is by going there. Stay away from the enclaves and live with the people. Any other way of seeing Europe is nowhere near as effective.
I don't see them as perfect, but I think they are ahead of us (U.S.A.) on a number of issues. Particularly, not starting wars and health care. My problem with them is lumping all of us together and having disdain for all of us. They are very judgmental and prejudiced towards us.
Well, first you get on an airplane...
But seriously, folks, I don't have enough experience there to give an educated opinion. The best I can give you is thst, when I get up everyday and see/hear that Trump is still in office, I think that I'd rather be there than here.
As often as Possible and if possible 2X a year.
As my Holy Land!..
Quite right!! All donations will be gratefully received .
