Regarding online dating: What would be a "must" demanded in your profile?
What matters more than anything when it comes to your online dating profile? One word: Photos. Photos can drastically increase your chances of getting more communication and dates. Or not.
You have 3 seconds to make a good impression. People will see your main photo as a tiny pic the size of a saltine cracker on their cell phone screens. If your main photo is not clear, bright and attractive, they move on. A genuine smile is inviting, warm and attractive. People want to see your eyes and smile.
Post recent photos taken outdoors for better lighting with a quality digital camera. Digital cameras are much better at processing light than smartphones.
Your main photo should be a head-and-shoulder shot, showing you SMILING and looking at the camera. You also need one full body shot, again taken outdoors and smiling.
Show your pearly whites! People think nice teeth = healthy mouth = good kisser.
Other pictures should show you outdoors, doing activities you enjoy. No hats, sunglasses, alcohol or stupid poses. You must be in every picture.
I'm an introvert and don't participate in any outdoor activities except for fishing a couple of times a year. I wonder if posing beside my gorgeous smile would attract any suitors. It's said protocols that is the reason why I never dated much in life. My opening line is, "Hi, I'm an introvert, would you like to stay in with me?" LOL!!!
My daughter is an introvert. Yet Claire is an athlete, funny, energetic and fun. She runs with her dog every day.
"My friends are amazed by my empathy," Claire said.
Last week, Claire got a 30% raise at work. She works as a team leader and trainer at Evergreen Medical Center. Claire also does contract work for Providence Medical Center at home. A hard worker.
She is now making $100,000/year. Wow!
Claire, 29, married Matt, 34, in Sept. 2018 at Lake Chelan, WA.
@LiterateHiker Running is an enclosed activity. One can put on headphones and block out the world and be alone.
Claire and I run outdoors. It is unsafe to wear headphones while running or hiking.
For your safety, you need to hear approaching people, dogs, animals, cars, etc.
I hate running on a relentless, mechanical treadmill.
@LiterateHiker I live in a running, cycling city and people do it all the time. I see them running in bust sections with their earbuds in and nearly oblivious to their surroundings. Maybe it drowns out the other surrounding noises. Sirens, cars etc.
Last Spring while walking along the riverfront trail, I felt thrilled when a bald eagle with a six-foot wingspan flew right overhead, swooping down toward the Columbia River beside the trail. I could feel the whoosh of air from its wings.
Splash! Without pausing, the eagle snatched a fish from the river and soared upwards, holding the fish in its talons. WOW.
"Did you SEE that eagle?" I called excitedly to people around me. No. They were all glued to their smartphone screens. Nobody else saw it. What a shame.
Watching that eagle was a peak, ecstatic moment in my life. I'll never forget it.
We all need more low-level ecstasy in our lives. This is a call to open your eyes, to see and feel the wonder and joy in life.
@LiterateHiker Yes. That was an awesome experience without having to watch PBS or NatGeo and makes a awonderful memory. I have lots of them. I don't wear or use anything that is distracting when I'm outside of the "Fortress of Solitude."
I am not here for dating, but if i were "weird sense of humor" is a must.
