About the Maryland Peace Cross would someone please explain to me why non-believers want to take it down. It did it's job making the dead bodies rotting in France and Belgium feel a lot better about their sacrifice. A lot of them as they lay in the dirt with their arms and legs blown off and guts scattered all over the place must have felt relieved that years later, on the other side of the world, concerned, empathetic patriots would erect a cross to ward off demonic spirits.

The dedication should read, “Don't worry, we got you covered-- not just dirt.” We're not going to let any followers of Lucifer ruin your afterlife. This cross will scare the crap of them just like the sign of the cross Van Helsing flashed before Count Dracula making him cringe in fear. This cross will scare the shit out of them and you'll feel great that you make a worthy trade-off in giving up your life for your country.

Also, think about the banks that lent millions to France and Britain. At least now they'll get paid some of it back.
