Perhaps the teacher should have started a productive discussion...i'm betting there are some kids right in that class with "2 moms" or whatever, and the teacher could have pointed out that it is None 9f Anybody's Business!

The teachers have been required to tow the line of the multi-genderism mob, which has successfully enshrined this mental-illness in law. Very sad time to live.
@Jacar because just maybe several kids in their class are Living this reality and my taxpayers $$$ is not (hopefully) being used to make them feel bad about themselves and/or be bullied about it? What exactly do you think a little kid can do to make the adults around them conform to Your notions of "acceptable"??????
I'm not sure what I think of this. Stating there are only two genders is unsupportive of trans people.
I wonder how this would have gone if, instead of gender, he referred to a biracial person and said, "Someone is either black or white."

Redfining the word is causing all kinds of trouble. "Trans-women" are demanding special rights and protections. Trans-women are NOT real women. No matter how the feel. And they are in direct opposition to real-women's rights and equality.
Trans-women are mysoginists.

I agree with you that it seems something is missing not to acknowledge that trans women were not born women. Their hormonal composition is different. I see this playing out badly in competitive sports where trans women are destroying women who don't have the advantage of having been men for the first 30 years of their lives... the strength they've built (with the testosterone advantage), the size of their hands or width of their shoulders etc.
I think a distinction can be made between acknowledging that trans people are different in that case. Therefore saying there are only 2 genders is not supportive of people who are in transition or have transitioned.

I wouldn't paint all people of any group as being misogynists. There are always individuals who hate. I don't see trans people that way and disagree.
