No, this is exactly as it appeared, was quite stunning!
great interesting photo but just stratocumulus clouds. the camera focused on the sun makes the clouds look darker.
The lower clouds were actually that dark, as a cloudy front was moving into the area.
That's a nice photo. The pink cloud is glowing because it's at a higher altitude than the grey clouds and is thus still catching sunlight (some clouds, called noctilucent clouds, form as high as 85km above Earth's surface and can still shine long after the sun is below the horizon). It looks as though it's slowly spinning, which may a result of air currents but may also just be an impression given by the shape.
That is most likely to be it.
