I'm.probably ever so slightly above average on the intelligence curb. A lot of folks dumber than me, but a lot of folks smarter. I'm no Trump supporter or special needs person who lives in an institution and can't wipe their own ass, but I ain't no Carl Sagan either.

I know i’m not dumb. But I often worry that I have said/done something dumb or that I am missing something I should be getting.

Some days i feel pretty smart..
Other days i have trouble opening doors. (Literally spent 3 seconds today trying to open a door the wrong way i have been thru a 1000 times )

I do the same. I push when I should pull, and vice versa.
There's always some degree of awareness....and ignorance...we all possess.
To stress about "not realizing it" ....is just a waste of time and stress energy.

People are smart and dumb...I think that is normal...unless you purposely act dumb
just know that you can learn something from everyone and they can learn from you...you are not "dumb" if you can even ask that question of yourself...

Wonder if it's a self esteem problem. A friend of my got the "dumb one" niche in her family hierarchy and she adopted that role in other relationships even though she's above average in intelligence generally and isn't even the dumbest sibling. Her brother is a classic over confident dimwit who doesn't question himself.

Ummmm i think you mean Freddy Kruger. I only know so much cause i have seen all of the nightmare on elmstreet movies. Maybe you did not know you were wrong cause you just saw a little clip and not all the movies. I am a cinimaphile but i know there are so manny movies i have not seen. So don't feel dumb.

As i just humorously described the dunning-kruger effect through a farcical self irreverent parable of a person who is trying to take pity on you for you ignorance. He explains even if you were to have a large base of knowledge such as cinema, you are blah blah blah. See when you assume you make an ass of u and me.
