Anyone have any ideas on how to clean leaves and debris out of an old well? It's about 2 feet across and a 35 foot or so drop down to the water.. Only a couple of feet more to the debris. I thought about a grapple of some sort but can't seem to find one out there suitable for the task.. A vacuum pump would be great but it's such a long way down, not sure it would work.. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

We had/used an old well like that. It had ladder rings built in to the rocks lining it. Once a year, 2 people cleaned it with bucket & rope, one climber down with a scoop/sieve thingy & a short rake, the other stayed up top & hauled. Many times there were decomposing animals in there!

I think I have it figured out.. Called a local company with the big, industrial strength pump trucks to come pump it out.. We'll see if they can. 👍

My brother worked for a company that did this...and yes, it is a huge pump that is also used to clear out septic tanks...glad you found someone to do it..
