We had to put down my 15-year-old dog, Toby, this morning. It was a very sad occasion. The picture is of him in his prime.

I remember the day I had to do the same. My daughter worked for a vet at the time and brought the meds required to do that home to me..so I could say good-bye here...and then bury her in a special place. I've decided to never have another pet....the loss was so intense.

Too old, and in a lot of pain from arthritis and hip dysplasia.
@tnorman1236 You did the right thing to put him to sleep. I had to do it to my little dog a month ago too. I wish that we had laws that when I had enough or feel too tired and too sore someone can come and give me a injection and I can just go to forever sleep.
It’s never easy saying goodbye to souls we love.
