I call my dog's mom a Street Slut! She was running the streets having sex with who knows what kind of dogs! Cute puppies, but we have no idea who dad was.
I do find it strange that women are comfortable using this word, as they endeavor to reclaim it as a positive reference (as stated in the comments below).
I believe there's also a group on this site with "slut" in its title, which I also find strange.
If the goal is that having sex shouldn't be shamed, why does it need a word at all?
If someone plays a lot of golf, do we refer to that person as a golf slut?
How about we say "avid fucker"?
Silly...
I say, if you're okay with what you're doing and there's really no need to defend it or apologize for it, then the act of trying to reform the word draws more attention to it.
It's no one's business.
...fornication enthusiasts
Fornication is related to "sin."
@Athena lol. Only in the Bible. Merriam-Webster calls it: : consensual (see CONSENSUAL sense 2) sexual intercourse between two persons not married to each other
I didn't know that. I've only seen it related to adultery or pre marital sex.
Naughty!
@Athena lmfao! Here is some more etymological insight... hehe
That's what you call a Royal fuck.
Don't need to be a slut to do whatever, or whoever, you want
Don't call women "sluts." It's derogatory and belittling.
@1of5
Lothario. Skirt chaser.
Was talking about the group here and the wonderful women there
Stud?
@LiterateHiker, @ToolGuy, @bobwjr, @Doraz, @Barnie2years why have different words based on the persons sex? All for the guy are positive, the woman negative. The term slut doesn't need to be reclaimed, but discarded.
