Decided to take a little trip. headed east into the Appalachians. truly beautiful country. anybody knows a good place for lunch in Boone North Carolina let me know.

additional comment number one: really not taking any of the interstates. kind of slow cruising the Backroads... just entered Cherokee National Forest.

opted for bbq...the pedalin' pig.

I have a friend who moved from Kauai to Boone NC and she seems to love it and posts lots of photos of beautiful scenery. Must be a great part of the country!

If you wind up in Spruce Pine try Capone's

There’s a Daniel Boone Restaurant that’s pretty good

If you get up near West Virginia, give me a shout.

Macado's on King Street is good. The Red Onion on Hardin Street is also good, a little more spice. Plenty of good vegan places up and down King. My daughter went to school there. I miss not being able to visit since she graduated. Enjoy.

We did not eat while we were there but the town of Cherokee looked very nice and I believe that I saw a couple of restaurants. One close to the park.
