that fan works on AC so someone was ingenious enough to run it thru a converter so that it worked on the DC from the battery.
OTOH, maybe he just stuck it there to confuse & mystify ppl.

If they had gone to Lidl instead of Aldi, they probably could have got groceries & the exact car parts they needed.

Just two more payments and she's all mine.. 😎

Very ingenious using a battery operated fan to cool the engine.

I'll bet you had lots of fun with that custom car. @CrazyQuilter

@CrazyQuilter You had you own "Vette."

Sorry to break this to you @CrazyQuilter , but he didn't build YOU a car,,, he had fun building a hot rod, that he let you drive... 😜😎👍 Much respect to him, his wrenching abilities, and his salesmanship... 😍

It’s weird.. As I learn about my new state. They tax vehicles on their value - declaring them ‘property.’ So, to avoid paying high taxes ..the locals attempt to drive stuff like ‘your new car!’ In addition to these vehicle property taxes … they’ve mandatory yearly vehicle inspections (what a fuckin pain) ..in an attempt to keep cars like yours off the road. ..god I miss Oregon ~

@maturin1919 ...I’ve a shitload of ‘property’ ...why not tax the value of my ..pocket knife?

Yeah, pesky inspection...wanting safe cars on the road with actual working equipment....& charging $16 for the priviledge every year. Of course if you take your vehicle to the dealership, they will screw you every time. The advantages of an honest mechanic can not be overstated.

@SallyInStitches A lifetime in a state only requiring you don’t pollute (thus tailpipe emissions inspections in metro areas) ...and I never lost any friends, relatives, or enemies to broken vehicles.. No sales tax, either! Which had me wondering … in VA we pay a hefty ‘sales tax’ on the vehicle at purchase, then yearly taxes on ‘the value’ of the vehicle ..for as long as you own the vehicle. What a scam - seems the state should be repairing our vehicles for all we’re handing over to them 😕
