I would take this as a warning. "Stupid criminal make stupid cops." Do you really want a one party system?

The biggest problem for conservatives is that most of the Reagan Era liberals they presumed would magically become conservatives as they got older, didn’t. They pretty much grew their numbers as large as they were ever going to get with the Young Republican organizations on college campuses during that time period.

Even more problematic for Conservatives is the fact that an overwhelming majority of the kids whose parents were part of the Young Republican movement back in the day aren’t buying what they’re selling either. They and their friends are living through the consequences of Reagan Era conservatie policies, and they want no part of that crap for their kids.

The likes of Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell Paul Ryan and Ted Cruz are the last gasp for Reagan Era conservatives. The younger generation and most of my generation sees those who are their legacy such as Danish D’sousa and Michelle Bachman as outliers and kooks.

If the country can just hang on until all the Reagan Era conservatives are finally dead or crapping their diapers in some assisted care facility, the process of slowly rebuilding a nation that works for everybody to at least some extent and not just one percent of the population can begin.

Things will get better as the oldest of boomers die off..the backend boomers are Still active politically and more progressive than the First boomers..
