I already know that i do not believe in God But i do not wanna say anything for sure, i mean who knows? And I hate the concept that no matter what i do there might be somebody who can control me, and I been trying to find something that supports something like that on the Internet but I just got more confused by that, Am i an atheist or something else? I AM CONFUSED AF
Don’t get tripped up on labels. If someone want to know what you do and do not believe, just explain it.
Also, “I don’t know” is a perfectly acceptable answer.
Welcome aboard.
it's just a word with a definition -- two in fact. an atheist is someone who either doesn't believe there are any gods, or who believes there are no gods. if that's you, congratulations: you're an atheist. if you think there might actually be a god or some gods but you're not sure, you are probably an agnostic. everyone who has picked a god as the only one in which to believe is an atheist or agnostic regarding all other gods but that's not how those words are used. they generally are used to apply to any and all gods. anyway i would not worry about labeling yourself. if you are not sure what you believe and you care enough to investigate, investigate. if you are not sure what you believe and it's not that important to you, think about something that is. if you know what you believe, and there is a handy word for it, cool. if there is no handy word for it, that doesn't invalidate your belief. it just makes it take a couple seconds longer if you're called upon to explain your beliefs to someone else, which should not be a daily occurrence.

Welcome to the asylum. Enjoy your stay.
Take a breath. Give yourself a minute.
Ask all the questions you want.
I am absolutely an atheist. I have never seen ANY credible and verifiable evidence
to prove the existence of ANY god(s).
Therefore, as far as I'm concerned, ALL gods are myths.
I'm also an anti-theist. I believe ALL religion is evil.
People can believe whatever bullshit they wish to, but they need to keep that
garbage to themselves. Religion should have NO influence on public policy.
The ONLY one who controls me, is ME. I don't concern myself with an afterlife.
I truly believe that when you're dead, you're dead. That's all there is, there is no
more, and I'm really okay with that.
I have never suffered from existential angst. I don't question my existence.
You don't have to wear anyone else's label(s). You don't have to put any
labels on yourself, unless you choose to.
It's all going to be okay.
Know NO fear.
Atheism is about belief. If you don't believe there are any gods, that doesn't mean you claim there aren't any, just that you don't believe there are. Simple as that. That's my feeling on the label.
Same thing if you feel that gods are imagined by humans, created to fit a mythology. In that case, the idea of gods exist, as characters in a mythos, but do you think they are real or imagined? If you feel they are imagined, then you are atheist.
You are you looking for a label. Just carry on being you a drop the need for a label. Makes like much simpler!
No one can test you to confirm that you are an atheist . It is a self certification procedure. If you say you are then most people of similar mind will trust and believe you until they find otherwise. This is quite different from the religions where you are told what to believe without evidence and with lack of trust in your own ability to think things out for yourself. No one will tell you how to be a Humanist, secularist etc because we arrive by our own volition and research. This difference in trust for simple human abilities to work things out for yourself is without doubt the source of your confusion.
Saying that you are an atheist is just the start. Enjoy the freedom of the rest of your journey.
Just be you...no need for a label...if you feel comfortable enough at some point in time by all means label yourself agnostic..atheist....whatever but you are definitely a skeptic!!
When I read something like this all I see is "I can't tell when someone's lying to me".
God's are made up to play on your fears of the unknown, sometimes by well meaning folks, but more often than not by charlatans who want to either control you and/or fleece you. Ignore them and the bullshit they spout.
