While all of the mass killings we see today are certainly far beyond reproach, the modern world is actually less violent now than it has been throughout history. Let’s not forget that public hangings used to be a spectator event or that instruments of torture which were once used to cause unspeakable prolonged suffering still sit in museums today.

Oh, and if you ladies want to get rid of men with violent tendencies, then stop reproducing with them. The best way to eliminate their defective DNA from the gene pool is to stop allowing them to spread their seed. There are plenty of good, non-violent men out there sitting at home alone on Saturday night while you’re out cavorting with Harley Dangerboy.

I don't think it's a sign of the times. I think it's always been like this, more or less.

As a male, and purely that, if you knew what goes through our heads that we don’t act on ...you’d never open your door again.. Though, I’ve also heard described (in vivid detail) what many women ‘secreately want,’ which sounds to be what we’re willing to offer. So go figure But, I’ve often thought how impressive it is that ‘we men’ stay as ..civil and under control as we do.

Took the cages off several of my new fruit trees this spring. No problem all summer ..as a doe brought her fauns around to browse. Then come the bucks, pulling away wire fencing, breaking branches, knocking off fruit, defoliating anything they could reach.. We’re wired nature's way, it’s got us here, and we’ve got to deal with it.

Interesting, never read any books by those authors. Most women don't commit the violence but there are those who surround themselves voluntarily with these violent men. For example you see the partners of Kkk members and skin heads. I wonder if they'd be the type to start becoming violent in a all female society. Most men don't commit violence though more men do as opposed to women. I would think in an all male society the violence would still be perpetrated just on other males. I wonder if they'd be able to stop it.

Hmmmm.... I would miss men. But I do worry about the level of violence we are seeing from the male species.
