I'm not much in favour of the 'polls' people post as the questions never seem apposite, but maybe I can find the answer this way:
IF you are a person who would move / would have moved to another area to have a relationship (if you would not, don't respond) -
what age group or stage of life would have (or would) stop you doing so?
example: I'm 25 with a small child so I will not move away from the grandparents, he or she must move to where I am.
Says to not respond if you wouldn't move, gives a 'wouldn't move' example. Sorry, just thought that was funny.
I'm 34 and have an upcoming custody hearing. I temporarily won full physical custody of my daughter as her mother has.. issues. If I win, I would seriously consider moving back to my home state. Have a much bigger network of friends and family there.
I don't see myself as getting in a relationship with someone who doesn't already live in the area.. so I would probably never move like that. I dislike people in general, so this person had better be what I consider perfect for me to think about moving a long distance for them.
For me it wouldn't have anything to do with age (unless I was disabled) but entirely to do with other commitments or responsibilities. Ten years ago I was helping take care of my Mom, so I wouldn't have left then, but now I'm free as a boid! Well, an old, lazy, set-in-his-ways boid.
