I'm 34 and have an upcoming custody hearing. I temporarily won full physical custody of my daughter as her mother has.. issues. If I win, I would seriously consider moving back to my home state. Have a much bigger network of friends and family there.

I don't see myself as getting in a relationship with someone who doesn't already live in the area.. so I would probably never move like that. I dislike people in general, so this person had better be what I consider perfect for me to think about moving a long distance for them.

For me it wouldn't have anything to do with age (unless I was disabled) but entirely to do with other commitments or responsibilities. Ten years ago I was helping take care of my Mom, so I wouldn't have left then, but now I'm free as a boid! Well, an old, lazy, set-in-his-ways boid.

I have my last kid going in to 10th grade. I can’t really move until he is done, but could move after that. Would not mind moving out of red Nebraska. My other kids are scattered all over - Kansas City, Vermont , Ann Arbor.
