I am sure there is nothing so ridiculous in the USA but she was in a show called "Gogglebox" which shows different people watching and commenting on other TV shows.
@Moravian "nothing so ridiculous"....watched even one episode of Housewives [of wherever]???!
@AnneWimsey Orange county,Beverley hills etc etc. We have "made in Chelsea" which shows spoilt rich kids living in multi £million apartments and talking in plummy accents and "The only way is Essex" which follows youngsters at the other end of the social spectrum.
I think Orwell was spot on in "1984" where TV was used as an instrument to control the masses.
