No one said evil. The point is the disconnect between both Jesus' teaching of living as a peaceful spirit, aka--turn the other cheek, plus the Christian principle of trusting God to take care of you---aka living by faith, vs. Arming oneself with guns for protection, ready to shoot other human beings if they threaten. I mean, what happened to faith?
