I feel like a turkey in the summer run-up to Thanksgiving.
My sister Rose, in Italy, is overfeeding us, as usual.
Breakfast was 3 fried eggs, 5 rashers of bacon, 4 (thankfully small) sausages, baked beans, tomatoes and thick sliced toast!
........ and there was still food in the pans!
I actually don't know what constitutes a rasher?
It is a slice of bacon, the thickness of which varies, but is usually about 15 slices to the inch, although some manufacturers slice it far more thinly, then print misleading claims such as "Now 12 slices!" in the pack.
@Petter Thank you!
"Full English Breakfast", in fact...I thought you were in Italy???!
Thankfully, my parents did not subscribe to the Clean Your Plate Club.
You don't have to eat it all. To quote Nancy Reagan, just say no.
My sister has selective deafness regarding food. I say one egg, three arrive.
This afternoon I said, "just a cup of tea".
I got tea, peanuts, crisps and biscuits thrust upon me.
yes but you arnt having your head smashed in getting roasted and mostly thrown in the bin.
Not yet. That comes during October, when I mention in passing to my wife that she has plumped up a bit following those 4 weeks in Italy.
@Petter lol very good
