IPhone users - beware! Google has discovered that for the past two years they have been insidiously hacked.
Apple, of course, hid the news in obscure "tech speak" as they explained their latest update.

If you still think anything, anywhere, is not constantly under threat, or actually hacked, I have a bridge to sell you....

@AnneWimsey I was merely pointing out that this particular set of no fewer than 5 vulnerabilities was exploited for over two years without any users being aware of it, even if they assiduously updated and refreshed their software.
My second point was that after Google discovered it and let Apple know how it worked, it gave Apple time to fix the problem. Did Apple say thank you? No! They merely put out an update without saying it was most important for users to update immediately, and obfuscated the reason for the update.
At least when other manufacturers have had vulnerabilities exposed they have bee more honest about them.
Anyway, as I posted, Beware! The Apple update is not something to be treated casually, despite the obscure terminology that accompanies it. MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD IT!!!!!

@AnneWimsey I should add that user's data was being lifted from their phones, including their private messages, WhatsApp calls, locations, etc. Did you read the link or merely comment?

@Petter I repeat, ANYTHING linked to the Internet, is vulnerable today, tomorrow, and forever. Period.

@AnneWimsey I repeat. Treat it seriously and update regularly. Don't have a " Nothing is safe" attitude and leave it at that. Crossing the road is dangerous, so don't do it with your eyes closed!
