When someone seriously bases their life on a 2000-year-old Jewish zombie, they are constructing a massive wall of emotional and psychological separation between themselves and those of us who strive to live lives of intellectual integrity. Has anyone had relationships effectively destroyed by this dynamic?

But I do think that in part they intend to build that wall, in many ways intelligence, the real working kind, I have always thought is more about honesty and as you say, intellectual integrity, than just problem solving, and for many people it is easier to build a wall than to face up to the demands made by honesty.
