I assume we are mostly all tired of all-things-immigration, but the language in this article (not to mention the content) is very telling.
I doubt many of us have read or have personal knowledge that programs on college campuses are being forced into closure if they're funded by certain governments:
"ASU also had to close its Confucius Institute, which was funded by the Chinese government, to continue receiving funds from the Department of Defense for a language program."No doubt this is directly tied to Trump's pissing match with China. These students' devices were seized and searched as they were detained.

I am not tired of hearing about immigration stories. They sadden me. I am tired of hearing about the latest shitstorm the tyrant of a POTUSis causing and it seems 2020 can't get here fast enough to hopefully be rid of him. This is terrible that he is turning these students back and for posts of people on their friends list. Trump should be de nixed entry as other than dictators, nazis, sex offenders and murderers oh and mitch mcConnell, he threatens and slanders countries and their leaders. It is sad he is making our country look lime shit.

I can only hope more specific information is forthcoming. If they acted for a reason, great. If they acted just because of the country name on the passport, it's very scary.

One problem these days is that with the kakistocracy we have, no one takes their word for anything -- and rightly so. Our entire government is untrustworthy.

This is the problem. They were deemed inadmissible by things found during the search.
In other words CBP didn't have anything on them. They basically then robbed their personal information to find one computer with links to anti merca websites.
It wouldn't be a surprise to find anti merca links on a student's laptop who is studying a foreign language and is visiting a foreign land to study. It is halfway expected and does not necessarily carry ill intent. It was also only one student out of nine.
If the current administration has no respect for the Constitution, they are unfit to head those who lay their life's on the line to protect and uphold all the Constitution against all enemies both foreign and domestic.
This was an insult to the American people and the 4th Amendment.
Trump doesnt have a clue nor would he give a shit about all the havoc he causes.
