He didn’t impress me much with that answer because it seemed whiny and self centered. Your typical white guy faced minuscule obstacles but made it anyway storyline.

You could find out more about Bernie on YouTube, for Decades taking unpopular stances on just about everything, being visionary and always on the side of We The People vs. Big Business, Big Pharma, Big Oil, etc etc.. He has not had it easy, and has never wavered in his outlook & committment! Respect, please!

@AnneWimsey Not feeling the Bern any more. I caucused for him in 2016 and didn’t see any great statesmanlike behavior after he lost. Where did he go out on a limb or do anything extraordinary from his safe Congressional seats in Vermont? Unpopular stances which cost him nothing. He is not a Democrat so don’t know why he keeps running as one.

@Killtheskyfairy Sanders does not run as an Independent (like Nader did), because it would split the progressive vote in the general election giving the win to the conservative.

@dare2dream it looked like he split the Democratic vote instead. So the Democratic Party didn’t throw their support behind him and Hillary got the nomination over an independent. Was that a huge surprise? Couldn’t he have done more to partner with her to stop Trump rather than throw a hissy fit and turn off many of his base? He has left a bad taste and his time has passed.

@Killtheskyfairy Bernie ran as a Democrat in 2016. When Hilary beat Bernie in the Democratic Primary (due to DNC shenanigans) Bernie came out publically with support for Hilary. Bernie has always been a Never Trumper.

The way I see it, Hilary failed to win over the progressives in the party.

@dare2dream DNC was loyal to the one who had been a Democrat for decades and brought the money, not the independent. Bernie should have been politically savvy enough to understand that. If he was so upset why is he back again? But this time he took a loyalty oath. Hillary didn’t fail to win. She got the popular vote but not enough to outweigh the republican and Russian shenanigans.
