Oil prices just jumped 19% because of the attack on the Saudi oil refinery. An other excuse to milk us at the pump even though we are a net exporter.

It's just supply and demand. No conspiracy to worry about. Prices will come back down soon.

Since big oil has been running our government from the beginning I would not be surprised if trump starts rattling the war swords.
Big oil was quite content to not have government involved in their dealings back when oil was first discoverer in Saudi Arabia. When the Saudis and others in the region wised to the real value of oil and began making demands big oil ran to the government to demand protection and so it came to pass the American tax payer covered the costs of developing the oil fields. We've had a dysfunctional relationship ever since and Americans still subsidize one of the most lucrative industries in the world. Socialism for big business.

The oil producers are the rulers of the world. They just do whatever they want.

A few days ago an NPR analyst said oil would stay low a couple of years. Now, threat of war.

I think that Saudi is the primary source for heavy crude which is needed for several products we use. While we export mostly natural gas and lighter crude. I could be wrong, regardless the cost comes from a combination of the refinery and the distributor.

This could be tRumps excuse to play soldier/general and start WW III. I hope not, but the stage is set for it.
